  • Botanical Description: Platostoma africanum is a perennial herbaceous plant with square stems that can grow up to 1 meter in height. It has opposite leaves that are elliptic to lanceolate in shape and serrated margins. The flowers are small and arranged in dense spikes at the ends of the stems. They are typically white to pale lavender in color and have a tubular shape. The leaves and stems of Platostoma africanum have a strong aromatic scent when crushed.
