  • Botanical Description: Pergularia daemia is a climbing or sprawling vine that can extend several meters in length. Its stems are slender and often twine around supports. The leaves are simple, broadly ovate or heart-shaped, measuring 2-10 cm in length. They are arranged oppositely along the stem. The plant produces small, fragrant flowers that are greenish-yellow in color. The flowers have a complex structure typical of the Apocynaceae family, with fused petals and a distinct, often unpleasant smell. The fruit is a pair of elongated follicles, which are typical of the milkweed family. These follicles release numerous small, flat seeds that are equipped with silky hairs, aiding in wind dispersal.
