  • Botanical Description: Marantochloa leucantha is an herbaceous perennial plant. It has a robust, clumping growth habit similar to other species in the Marantaceae family. The flowers are white, as suggested by the species name "leucantha" (leuco meaning white, antha meaning flower). They form inflorescences that emerge from the leaf axils or at the top of the stems. The fruit is a capsule containing seeds.
