Botanical Description: Ipomoea aquatica, commonly known as water spinach or water morning glory, is an aquatic or semi-aquatic plant species belonging to the family Convolvulaceae. It is a fast-growing perennial herbaceous vine that typically grows in water or moist soil. It can reach heights of up to several meters. The leaves are ovate to lanceolate in shape, alternate, and succulent. They can vary in size but are generally large and broad. The flowers are funnel-shaped and typically white or pink in color. They bloom in clusters and arise from the leaf axils.
Flowering/Fruiting: There is no exact flowering month but it typically flowers most profusely during the warmer months of the year.
