  • Botanical Description: Pyrrosia mechowii is an epiphytic fern that grows on trees or rocks. Its fronds are elongated, reaching lengths of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet). The leaves are glossy green and emerge reddish when new, gradually turning green as they mature. The sori (spore-bearing structures) are long and narrow, arranged parallel to the fronds.
  • Flowering/Fruiting: Pyrrosia mechowii, commonly known as Tongue fern, does not produce conspicuous flowers. Instead, it reproduces through spores.
