Leaves: The leaves are linear, grass-like, and arranged in a basal rosette. Inflorescence: The inflorescence consists of small spikelets clustered at the tips of the stems. Flowers: Each spikelet contains several tiny flowers with bracts (modified leaves) surrounding them. Fruit: The fruit is a small, brown, three-sided achene. Ecology and Habitat: Habitat: It grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.
